Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay takes place Saturday, April 25, 2026, offering a 50 Mile, 50K, and 50 Mile Relay across Michigan’s Thumb. The 50 Mile and Relay start at sunrise in Harbor Beach and finish in Caseville, while the 50K runs as an out-and-back from Caseville on mostly flat, rural roads. Designed to be welcoming for first-time ultra runners and appealing to experienced athletes, the course features generous cutoffs, strong volunteer support, and well-stocked aid stations. For 50 milers, there’s an added challenge: finish before sunset and earn special “Beat the Sun” recognition.
