Blue Water Bridge

The Blue Water Bridge spans across the St. Clair River and carries international traffic between Port Huron, Michigan, and Point Edward and Sarnia, Ontario. Located near the I-94 and I-69 interchange, the bridge forms a critical gateway linking Canada and the United States.

Day 1
Visit the Huron Lightship Museum, the oldest lighthouse in Michigan, at the Fort Gratiot Light and beach. Check out the Thomas Edison Depot Museum and Carnegie Museum. Go to the Great Lakes Maritime Center to watch freighters and take a nature walk along the Blue Water River Walk/Bridge to Bay Trail.
Day 2

BLUE WATER RIVER WALK TOUR
Take a nature walk at the Blue Water River Walk along the St. Clair River shoreline. Part of the Bridge to Bay Trail system, this is a unique location to watch freighter traffic in the St. Clair River. There is an elevated structure, once used as a ferry dock, which provides a fun place to shoreline fish.
Thumbcoast Heritage Tour
The Blue Water Area Heritage Tour begins on the Thumbcoast in Algonac and heads along M-29 and M-25 on the shorelines of Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair River, and Lake Huron – all the way to the tip of the Thumb in Port Austin!
